SUPERHERO

BOOK BY JOHN LOGAN, MUSIC & LYRICS BY TOM KITT

Superhero tells the story of a mother and son grappling with a devastating loss and the mysterious stranger who helps them on their journey. Before we can save the world, we have to save each other. From the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer of Next to Normal and the Tony Award-winning writer of Red comes a deeply human new musical about a fractured family, the mysterious stranger in apartment 4-B, and the unexpected hero who just might save the day.

JOHN LOGAN is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter. He has received rave reviews for his plays Never the Sinner, about the infamous Leopold and Loeb case, and Hauptman, about the Lindbergh baby kidnapping. RED, which premiered at the Donmar Warehouse in London and the Golden Theatre on Broadway, won Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle and Olivier awards for best play, as well as six Tony Awards, the most of any play. Mr. Logan's prolific work as a screenwriter includes Any Given Sunday, RKO 281, The Last Samurai, Gladiator, The Aviator, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Skyfall. In 2013 Mr. Logan premiered two new plays: Peter and Alice and I'll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers.
